Announcer John Scoggin explains how the Texas Forest Service uses airplanes to spot forest fires.  The program was trial tested in the spring of 1943 through collaboration between the TFS and the Civil Air Patrol.  In 1944, a program was established for full-scale aerial patrols.

Performers enact the 1841 feud between the "Count de Saligny" Alphonse Dubois and Richard Bullock, spurred on by a corn-eating pig, in Austin, Texas.

The Forest Service announcer speaks about the historic French Legation and the importance of preserving Texas timber for building houses across the state.
